Comments This selection originally came to Foundation Plant Services around 1960 from the vineyard of the Department of Viticulture & Enology, University of California, Davis (location H93 v 19). The selection was then known as Kober 5BB FPS 01 and was planted in the old foundation vineyard in 1961 at A10 v 19, 21. In 1964, cuttings were taken from FPS 01 and were subjected to 62 days of heat treatment; the material was planted in the old foundation vineyard (location A3 v21) in 1965 as Kober 5BB FPS 02. In 1972, cuttings were taken from FPS 02 and subjected to heat treatment for 112 days. The material was eventually planted in the old foundation vineyard in 1973 (location L7 v4) as Kober 5BB FPS 04.

Comments This selection originally came to Foundation Plant Services around 1960 from the vineyard of the Department of Viticulture & Enology, University of California, Davis (location H93 v 19). The original material for this selection was initially planted in the old FPS foundation vineyard in 1961 as Kober 5BB 01. In 1964, buds were taken from Kober 5BB 01 and were subjected to 62 days of heat treatment; the material was planted in the old foundation vineyard in 1965 as Kober 5BB 02. In 1972, buds were taken from Kober 5BB 02 and subjected to heat treatment for 208 days. The newly treated material was eventually planted in the old foundation vineyard in 1974 as Kober 5BB 06. In 2009, FPS created Kober 5BB 06.1 using microshoot tip tissue culture disease elimination therapy from Kober 5BB 06. After successful completion of testing under the 2010 Protocol, the newly treated material was planted in the Russell Ranch Foundation Vineyard in 2011 as Kober 5BB 06.1.
