A grape breeding program resource, not fruit or rootstock cultivar. Also referred to as Renstack material. Derived from interspecific cross performed at the University of Minnesota Grape Breeding Program in 2018, one of four VG (VitisGen project) lines submitted to the FPS program from UMN. Each line carries multiple resistance loci for powdery mildew useful in grape breeding. From the female parent (MN1264) expected resistance includes Ren3, Ren9, Ren10 and from the male parent (Y522-125-15) Run1, Ren1, Ren4. Breeders wishing to stack these genes into progeny vines may do so by using this line as a breeding parent. |
