The original material underwent heat treatment for 126 days in 1965 and was planted in the old foundation vineyard as Folle blanche FPS 03. Microshoot tip tissue culture therapy was performed on Folle blanche 03 in 1999, and the resulting plant material was installed in the Classic Foundation Vineyard in 2003 as Folle blanche FPS 04. Folle blanche 04 successfully completed testing under the 2010 Protocol in 2011, after which it was planted in the Russell Ranch Foundation Vineyard as Folle blanche 04.1.
