Comments This medium-small berried red wine variety is from the Piemonte region in northwest Italy. Pelaverga Piccolo is used for blending with Nebbiolo and/or Barbera or as a varietal wine, as well as for a table grape. Though commonly mistaken for Pelaverga, Pelaverga Piccolo is not the same variety as Pelaverga, despite the similarity in naming.
