Comments This rootstock selection came to Foundation Plant Services around 1960 from the vineyard of the Department of Viticulture & Enology at University of California, Davis (location H99 v8). The selection was first planted in the foundation vineyard in 1964 as Dog Ridge 01. Dog Ridge 01 underwent heat treatment therapy in 1964 and was released as Dog Ridge 02 in 1965.

Comments This rootstock selection came to Foundation Plant Services around 1960 from the vineyard of the Department of Viticulture & Enology at University of California, Davis (location H99 v8). The selection was first planted in the foundation vineyard in 1964 as Dog Ridge 01. Dog Ridge 01 underwent heat treatment therapy for 76 days in 1964 and became Dog Ridge 03. Dog Ridge 03 underwent heat treatment therapy again in 1972 for 122 days and was released as Dog Ridge 04 in 1973. Dog Ridge 04 underwent microshoot tip tissue culture therapy in 2011 to qualify for planting in the Russell Ranch Foundation Vineyard. The treated material successfully completed testing in 2013 and will be planted at Russell Ranch as Dog Ridge 04.1.
