Comments	Dattier de St. Vallier 01 was imported to Foundation Plant Services in 1968 from the Istituto Sperimentale per la Viticoltura, Conegliano, Italy (USDA-ARS P.I. number 224317). The original material for FPS 01 tested positive for Rupestris stem pitting virus, so Dattier de St. Villier 02 was created from FPS 01 in 2000 using microshoot tip tissue culture therapy. After successful completion of testing for the California Grapevine Registration & Certification Program, Dattier de St. Vallier 02 was planted in the FPS Classic Foundation Vineyard in 2006. Dattier St. Vallier 02 successfully completed testing under the 2010 Protocol in 2012, after which it was planted in the Russell Ranch Foundation Vineyard under the new selection number Dattier St. Vallier 02.1.
