Comments	The original plant material for this selection came to Foundation Plant Services around 1960 from location H92 v10 in the vineyard of the Department of Viticulture & Enology, University of California, Davis. The original material (known as Couderc 1616 FPS 01 in its untreated state) underwent heat treatment for 104 days and was planted in the FPS foundation vineyard in 1965 as Couderc 1616 FPS 02. Couderc 1616-02 underwent microshoot tip tissue culture therapy in 2009. The new material successfully completed testing under the 2010 Protocol in 2011, after which it was planted in the Russell Ranch Foundation Vineyard as Couderc 1616 FPS 02.1.
