Comments	Elmer Swenson (1913-2004) was a grape breeder from the Upper Midwest who specialized in cold season and short season grapes. This variety was named for his wife. The Minnesota Grape Growers' Association website (http://mngrapes.org) reports that wine made from this variety has been outstanding in quality and consistency.

Comments	This selection was donated to the public grapevine collection at Foundation Plant Services in 2015 by Dennis Rak, owner of Double A Vineyards in Fredonia, New York. The original material qualified for the FPS Classic Foundation Vineyard in 2017. That material also underwent microshoot tip tissue culture therapy at FPS in 2015 and qualified for the Russell Ranch Foundation Vineyard in 2017.
