Comments | This ancient Greek variety probably originated from the Greek island of Limnos in the Aegean. It is also known there by the name Kalambaki (Turkish). This cultivar is distinct from the Greek grape known as Limniona. Limnio can produce good varietal wine and is frequently used in blends with Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet franc. |
