Comments This cultivar was named for the Canadian oenologist Adhemar de Chaunac. The Finger Lakes Wine Growers' Association had previously named it Cameo. This is an early ripening cultivar and is winter hardy in New York and Canada.

Comments This selection was donated to the Foundation Plant Services public foundation collection in 2011 by Dennis Rak, owner of Double A Vineyards in New York State. The original material successfully completed testing for the FPS Classic Foundation Vineyard in 2013. The original material also underwent microshoot tip tissue culture therapy at FPS in 2011. The treated material successfully completed testing to qualify for the Russell Ranch Foundation Vineyard in 2013.
