This selection was imported from the Institute for Grapevine Breeding in Geilweilerhof, Siebeldingen, Germany in 1998 to Cornell University (Research Evaluation Quarantine Program) in Geneva, New York. The material was transferred from New York to Foundation Plant Services in 2008 at the request of the USDA-ARS National Clonal Germplasm Repository in Davis, California. After successful completion of testing for the California Grapevine Registration & Certification Program, Couderc 241-123 FPS 01 was planted in the FPS Classic Foundation Vineyard in 2010. Selection 01 underwent microshoot tip tissue culture therapy in 2010. That new material successfully completed testing under the 2010 Protocol in 2012, after which it was planted in the Russell Ranch Foundation Vineyard as Couderc 241-123 FPS 01.1. |
