Comments The Garnacha grape variety most likely originated in the Aragón region of Spain. Garnacha Peluda is sport mutation of Garnacha and is known as 'downy Garnacha' due to the fact that the underside of the leaves has a hairy ('peluda') appearance. Wine from this variety has a lower alcohol content than the other Garnacha variety.
