| Comments | This rootstock variety was selected by Rudolf Goethe, Director of the Royal Prussian Research Station of Geisenheim, Germany, between 1879 and 1903. Goethe obtained riparia seeds from Vilmorin Andrieux & Co. in Paris, France, around 1882 and selected this variety out of 200 riparia seedlings. The leaf of this variety is reportedly smaller than that of Riparia Gloire and its growth conditions are similar. |
