Comments This table grape selection was imported to Foundation Plant Services in 2001 from Iran. The original material underwent microshoot tip tissue culture therapy in 2001 and successfully completed disease testing under the California Grapevine Registration & Certification Program. Asgari 01 was planted in the FPS Classic Foundation Vineyard in 2006. Asgari 01 successfully completed testing under the 2010 Protocol in 2011 and was planted in the Russell Ranch Foundation Vineyard under the new selection name Asgari FPS 01.1. This selection was initially proprietary to CA-Persia Grape Research & Development but is now available to the public.
