This table grape selection was imported to Foundation Plant Services from New South Wales, Australia in 2000. It is reported that this seeded selection has large white berries with a pink blush. The original plant material underwent microshoot tip tissue culture therapy at FPS in 2003. After successful completion of testing for the California Registration & Certification Program, Apple Grape 01 was planted in the FPS Classic Foundation Vineyard in 2007. Apple Grape 01 qualified for planting in the new Russell Ranch Foundation Vineyard by completion of 2010 Protocol testing in 2011. The new vines in Russell Ranch were given a new selection number, Apple Grape FPS 01.1. |
