Comments Jancis Robinson describes this cultivar as a disease-resistant variety which produces crisp, aromatic white wine. (Oxford Companion to Wine, 3d ed.) This cultivar is classified as a vinifera in the UK because of its vinifera-like wines.

The plant material for this selection originated from the vineyard of Friench and Martha Tarkington, Victoria, Texas. The original material successfully completed testing to qualify for the FPS Classic Foundation Vineyard in 2013.
