Comments	This selection was imported to Davis in 1970 from the Victorian Plant Research Institute in Burnley, Victoria, Australia under the name 'Swarzmann'(USDA-ARS P.I. number 364288). The original material received heat treatment at Foundation Plant Services in 1971. The name was changed to 'Schwarzmann' in 1995. Schwarzmann 01 underwent microshoot tip tissue culture therapy in 2009 to qualify it for planting in the Russell Ranch Foundation Vineyard, where it was planted as Schwarzmann 01.1 in 2011 after successful completion of testing.
