This selection came to Davis in July, 1959, from the Landes-Lehr-und Forschungsanstalt für Wein-und-Gartenbau in Neustadt, Germany (the Rhineland-Palatinate region). It was assigned USDA Plant identification number 259113-C-1. The original plant material has tested positive for virus and will require disease elimination therapy prior to release to the public. There are currently vines in pots in the greenhouses at FPS but no field vines. |
