Comments	The plant material for this selection was planted in 1956 in the Armstrong vineyard (O.F.4 v11) on the UC Davis campus. That vineyard was managed by the Department of Viticulture & Enology. The source of the 1956 Armstrong planting was a vine at another location in that vineyard (location H93 v29). The original material from location O.F.4 v11 came to Foundation Plant Services in the early 1960's for treatment and testing. It initially underwent heat treatment for 102 days. After successful completion of testing, the selection was planted in the old FPS foundation vineyard in 1965 as Richter 110 FPS 01A/01. The plant pathologist associated with Foundation Plant Services at the time, Dr. Austin Goheen, also assigned the name 'superclone #134' to this selection in the 1970's. Richter 110 FPS 01 was planted in the Classic Foundation Vineyard in 1995. Richter 110 FPS 01 underwent microshoot tip tissue culture therapy at FPS in 2009. After successful completion of testing under the 2010 Protocol, the newly treated plant material was planted in the Russell Ranch Foundation Vineyard as Richter 110 FPS 01.1.
