Comments Elmer Swenson (1913-2004) was a grape breeder from the Upper Midwest who specialized in cold season and short season grapes. This variety was developed by Mr. Swenson in Osceola, Wisconsin.

Comments This selection was donated to the Foundation Plant Services public grapevine collection in 2011 by Dennis Rak, owner of Double A Vineyards in New York State. The original material qualified for the FPS Classic Foundation Vineyard in 2013. The material also underwent microshoot tip tissue culture therapy at FPS in 2011 and qualified for the Russell Ranch Foundation Vineyard in 2014.
