Comments This selection came to FPS in the early 1980’s from the UC Davis Department of Viticulture & Enology vineyard, location X19 v 13-14. The selection underwent heat treatment (1981-1983) and microshoot tip tissue culture therapy (1996) at FPS. It was eventually released in 2000 as Marsanne 01.

Comments This selection was donated to the Foundation Plant Services public grapevine collection in 2000 by UC Viticulture Extension specialist Glenn McGourty. The plant material was from the U.C. Hopland Research & Extension Center in Mendocino County, California. The original material successfully completed testing for the California Grapevine Registration & Certification Program and was planted in the FPS Classic Foundation Vineyard in 2004. Marsanne 03 underwent microshoot tip tissue culture therapy in 2011 to qualify for planting in the Russell Ranch Foundation Vineyard.

Comments This selection was donated to the Foundation Plant Services public collection in 2000 and immediately underwent microshoot tip tissue culture disease elimination therapy. After successfully completing testing for the California Grapevine Registration & Certification Program, Marsanne 04 was planted in the FPS Classic Foundation Vineyard in 2006. Marsanne 04 successfully completed testing under the 2010 Protocol in 2011, after which it was planted in the Russell Ranch Foundation Vineyard as Marsanne 04.1.

Comments This proprietary selection came to Foundation Plant Services in 1997 from ENTAV-INRA in France. It is authorized French clone Marsanne 574. The selection successfully completed testing for the California Grapevine Registration & Certification Program in 1999. Marsanne 574 underwent microshoot tip tissue culture therapy at FPS in 2014 and qualified for the Russell Ranch Foundation Vineyard in 2016.
