| Comments | Malvasia bianca Lunga has been found in the Chianti region of Tuscany for several centuries under the name Malvasia del Chianti and has also been grown in the Veneto and Puglia regions in recent times. DNA analysis has shown that Malvasia bianca Lunga, Maraština aka Rukatac (Croatia) and Pavlos (Greece) share the same genetic profile. (reference 80 - Robinson, Harding and Vouillamoz, WINE GRAPES, 2012). The cultivar is a neutral white wine variety used in blends. |
