Comments	This selection came to Foundation Plant Services in 2007 from Jorge Böhm, Viveiros Plansel S.A., Portugal. The material was JPB clone 567. The original material successfully completed testing and qualified for the FPS Classic Foundation Vineyard in 2009. The original material underwent microshoot tip tissue culture therapy at FPS in 2009. This tissue culture version of Macabeo 567 was planted in the Classic Foundation Vineyard in 2013 as a backup vine named Macabeo 02. The name was changed to Macabeo 567.1 in 2019. After several years of being a proprietary selection, Macabeo PLANSEL 567.1 was released to the FPS public grapevine collection in 2019.

The original material successfully completed testing to qualify for the California Registration & Certification Program and was planted in the Classic Foundation Vineyard in 2007. After several years as a proprietary selection, Macabeo PLANSEL 568 was released to the FPS public grapevine collection in 2019.
