Source	Ruby Cabernet FPS 01, from vineyard in Napa, California (La Fata) via Foundation Vineyard
Comments	This selection was developed by former Professor Harold P. Olmo, Department of Viticulture & Enology, University of California, Davis. The selection came to Foundation Plant Services in the early 1960's. After heat treatment for 105 days and index testing, Ruby Cabernet 01 was planted in the FPS foundation vineyard in 1966. Ruby Cabernet 01 was heat treated again for 61 days and planted in the foundation vineyard as Ruby Cabernet 03. Both Ruby Cabernet 02 and 03 were taken from the same source vine in the FPS foundation vineyard (FV E5 v1). Ruby Cabernet 03 underwent microshoot tip tissue culture therapy at FPS in 2012 and successfully qualified for the Russell Ranch Foundation Vineyard in 2013.
