Comments This French-American hybrid was given the name Chancellor by the Finger Lakes (New York) Wine Growers Association in 1970. Chancellor is used to produce varietal wines and in blends.

Comments This selection was donated to the public grapevine collection at Foundation Plant Services in 2015 by Dennis Rak, owner of Double A Vineyards in Fredonia, New York. The variety is also known as Seibel 7053. The original material underwent microshoot tip tissue culture therapy at FPS in 2015 and qualified for the Russell Ranch Foundation Vineyard in 2017.
