| Description |
Orig. in Fresno, Calif., by U.S. Dept. of Agriculture. Introd. in 1974. Selected in 1969 by J.H. Weinberger. A very attractive and highly colored peach. Fruit is large, round and very firm. Skin is bright red over a bright yellow ground color. Yellow flesh; excellent flavor and smooth texture. Appears to be bud tender. A major California cultivar and favorite. This cultivar sets heavily. Trees are moderately vigorous and productive; large flowers, self-fertile; leaf gland reniform. |
