| Description |
This cultivar of peach "P.F. 24-007" was originated by Paul Friday in the experimental orchard which is maintained for the purpose of breeding peach trees, at Paul Friday Farms Inc., located in Coloma, Michigan. Very Large fruit having a diameter of 2 1/2 to 3 inches and bigger. Produces a very firm fruit having a resilient flesh texture. Skin color of lavender-red overlying a light to whitish yellow at maturity. Mid-season maturing fruit of good taste, good storage, and good shelf life. Trees: large, very productive, vigor is medium to very vigorous, upright and consistent bearer. Disease resistance to Bacterial Leaf and Fruit Spot very good.
This cultivar of peach has been recognized and certified as the world's largest peach, it is listed in "The Guinness World Book Of Records". |
