| Description |
The parents tree(s) of this cultivar was discovered in a cultivated area in Jork, Hannover, Germany by Karl-Heinz Tiemann. 'Jork 57/201' was selected from among seedlings resulting from the cross 'Schneiders Spate Knorpelkirsche' x 'Rube". Very resistant to rain cracking, excellent shipper. High quality, large dark red firm fruit. Mild sweet flavor; Ripens 16 days after Bing; Holds well in storage. Trees: vigorous; upright growth, pyramidal in form due to strong apical dominance in the central leader; Blooms late. |
