Orig. in Palo Alto, Calif., by W.F. Wight, U.S. Dept. of Agriculture and the California Agr. Expt. Sta. Introduced in 1942. Large fruit that's nearly round with skin that's golden yellow and blushed and streaked red. Yellow flesh with red next to pit. Fine-grained, firm; canning and commercial peach. Trees are vigorous, productive; leaf glands globose; flower nonshowy, small. |
