| Description |
Orig. at Giessen, Germany by W. Gruppe and H. Schmidt, Justus Liebig Univ., Giessen in 1969.
This clone is the most dwarfing of the GiSelA®-series and should be cultivated only on best soils. Is recommended for high-density plantings and high tunnels. Particularly
well adapted to covered orchards (protected cultivation). Irrigation or fertigation and intensive training and pruning measures are necessary. Due to the high productivity induced by the rootstock, GiSelA®3(S) should not be combined with very fruitful cultivars.
Flat branch angles.
Root system is freely branching and fibrous; highly dense. Support is recommended. |
