| Description |
Originated in Palo Alto, CA by W.F. Wight, U.S. Dept. of Agriculture. First commercial planting in 1943. A yellow fleshed peach, but more pale and with poorer flavor than fortuna; sizes well; firm. Carson peach is prized for its very early harvest time. It's a very good canning quality peach. The semi-upright tree is somewhat willowy. |
