Orig. in Jackson Springs, N.C., by North Carolina Agr. Expt. Sta. Introd. in 1968. Medium to large fruit; round; very firm; fine texture; melting. Has round and smooth skin. Most of the surface covered early with a dark red blush over a medium yellow ground. The flesh is deep yellow with small amount of red pigment. It is very resistant browning. Susceptible to skin discoloration during washing. Moderately resistant to bacterial spot, rating better than Redhaven.
