Description |
Orig. in Fresno, Calif., by J.H. Weinberger, U.S. Hort. Field Sta. Introd. in 1966.Fruit is large and round; skin yellow with red blush, lightly pubescent; yellow flesh, very firm, smooth textured, flavor fair to good, freestone. Smoother shaped, more highly colored and firmer fleshed than Fay Elberta; ripens between Fay Elberta and Rio Oso Gem. Trees are vigorous; productive; blossoms self-fertile; and large petaled; leaf glands reniform; not susceptible to bacterial spot. Fruit buds may be susceptible to low winter temperatures. |
